Congratulations to 2013 Glenwood League Champions Rambler 9!
TESCO got on the board with a first inning strike, and threatened again with bases loaded in the second, but Chris Wright and the Rambler 9 worked out of the
jam allowing a single run and came back in the third and forth frame to score three and four runs sequentially and held on to capture the 2013 Championship
Title. Chris Wright picked up the win tossing 5 and a third and Matt Heslop earned the save with an inning and two thirds of scoreless relief. Matt Adamczyk
stroked a two out double to score a pair of runs in the third and was joined by just about every teammate with a contributing hit or at bat in a truly team
effort. The Rambler 9 made a late season surge into the playoffs and overcame Braendel's Bulls en route to uncrowning defending Champions TESCO in five
hard fought games. Congratulations to the Rambler 9 - 2013 Glenwood League Champions!
August 16th, 2013 Game 5 Tonight!
The TESCO offense erupted Wednesday to defeat the Rambler Nine 13-4 at Ainworth. JP Frey and Lee Rohan let the hit parade with RBI singles in the five run
third inning and each finished the day with multiple hits and a trio of RBIs. Matt Palisin tossed a complete game for the victory. The victory forced a game 5
all or nothing showdown with first pitch at 5:45 tonight!
August 14th, 2013 Ramblers Win Game 3!
The Rambler 9 scored two runs in the third inning and hung on to edge TESCO 2-1 Tuesday at Ainsworth. The typical August swelter was replaced by an
October evening as teeth chattered and bats shattered in the seven inning nail biter. T.J. Mitchell led off the third taking a high fastball off his elbow and
advanced on Frank Lauria's sac bunt. Tyler Fisher stroked a grounder up the middle and plating Mitchell and advancing to second on the play. Fisher came
around to score on R.J. Niedzwiecki's RBI single to left.
TESCO answered in the bottom frame with Kyle Harpster scoring on Lee Rohan's ground out to short, but that was all the offense the Gray and Blue could
muster off Rambler starter Matt Heslop. The tall left hander tossed five and a third solid innings scattering five hits and striking out four before handing the
ball to Chris Wright for the final five outs. Greg Radwan saddled the tough loss despite a complete game five hit effort. TESCO threatened in the seventh with
Brandon Crum standing on second with two outs and JP Frey slamming a single to right, but TJ Mitchell's toss to the plate was on target and Scott Hess tagged
Crum out to end the game.
August 12th, 2013 Final Series even after action filled Weekend!
Scott Hess lined a single to center scoring T.J. Mitchel to break a 3-3 tie in the bottom of the ninth and walk off with a Victory over TESCO Sunday at
Ainsworth. The Nine were down 3-1 in the seventh when R.J. Niedzwiecki singled home Tyler Fisher and later scored on a bases loaded walk. Chris Wright
entered the game in the fifth inning and cooled the TESCO attack, striking out three in four and two thirds innings of work while securing the win. Tied a game
a piece, the teams meet Tuesday night for Game 3.
On Saturday Lee "The Limpy Leprechaun" Rohan overcame a pulled hamstring to lead the TESCO charge with four hits and two RBIs in a decisive 9-2 victory
over the Rambler 9 in Game One of the best of five series. Teammates Dustin Coleman stroked three safties and Brian King chipped in two RBIs for the potent
offense. Veteran Matt Palisin took control from the hill scattering five hits and allowing just two runs in seven innings of work.

August 7th, 2013 Rambler 9 to Meet TESCO in Finals!
Tyler Fisher stroked an RBI double in the fifth for the first score of the game and took over on the hill to toss the final four frames for the victory Tuesday
Eveneing at Ainsworth. The win propels the 9 to thier first trip to the Championship Series and the Ramblers will meet TESCO Saturday at 4:00 for Game One.
T.J. Mitchell plated the second, and eventual game winning, Rambler run in the sixth with a single. Tony Tupek answered with a solo homer in the top of the
seventh frame for Braendel's Bulls, but Fisher closed the door. Bull's starter Matt Tobin scattered four hits and allowed a single run for the hard luck loss.
Braendel's Bulls closed out another solid season finishing in second place in the Glenwood Standings and earning another trip to the post season.
August 6th, 2013 TESCO Advances
For the eleventh straight season TESCO advanced to the Championship series by defeating the Red Sox three games to one in the best of five series. Greg
Radwan toed the rubber Monday and authored a complete game nine strikeout gem to earn the tight victory. Dustin Coleman led off the third with a walk and
then back to back singles by the Harpster Brothers scored Coleman and put older brother Eric on third base to score on Greg Radwan's sac fly to left. JP Frey
worked his way around the bases and scored the eventual game winner on a wild pitch. Those two singles were all Sox starter Andrew Quiggle would allow
on the day. The Sox mounted a rally in the seventh with Bobby Roach knocking a ball off Roosevelt Scool in right to get the Sox on the board. Andy Feikls
singled home another run and with two outs and two runners in scoring position Radwan induced a high fly ball to right to end the game.
Congratualtions to the Red Sox for their fantastic 2013 Season. The Sox captured the regular season title with a 15-5 mark in thier second season in the GBL
August 5th 2013 - Wild Weekend!
Braendel's Bulls vs. Rambler 9
On Saturday the Rambler 9 broke a 1-1 tie in the sixth when Matt Adamczyk slammed a home run to left field and Connor Connell held on to earn the
complete game victory. Connell tossed seven innings, scattered six hits, and struck out four to earn the hard fought victory. The Bull's Travis Butcher also
tossed a complete game and struck out six in the tough loss.
Braendel's Bulls crossed home plate ten times in the first two innings only to watch the Rambler 9 score ten of their own in the second and third frames
Sunday at Ainsworth. The Bulls plated a trio again in the forth, but the Nine answered in each of the last three innings to emerge victorious 15-13. Tyler
Fisher had the biggest day of all slamming a home run (back to back with Frank Lauria) plating four runs and earning the victory on the bump pitching the
final two scoreless frames. Lauria drove in three of his own. Ford Eisenman and Ian Beezub also had big days at the plate for the Bulls and each batter drove
in four runs in a losing cause. The two teams combined for an even 30 hits on a day where everyone remembered to bring thier bats.
Red Sox vs TESCO
The Red Sox and TESCO battled until the sun gave out Thursday tied at one run each and continued the game Saturday Morning. TESCO scored a run in the top
of the inning only to watch back to back walks come around to score on back to back singles with two outs as the Red Sox emerged with the 3-2 victory.
The Sox continued crushing the ball going into game 2, scoring five runs in the first frame paced by Alex Margraf and Bobby Roach doubles. Someone finally
reminded the TESCO batters to bring thier bats to the plate and from the third inning on the TESCO offense scored three touchdowns and kicked an extra point
to defeat the Red Sox 19-8. Eric Harpster and Brian King led the Tornados with five RBIs each, with Harpster slamming two homers to right and King
slamming a three run shot to left. Kyle Harpster went back to back hitting Roosevelt School bricks with his brother in the forth. The Sox and TESCO also
combined for an even 30 hit day with Eric Brandt leading the counter offensive with two RBIs. The teams aslo combined for 8 errors.
On Sunday TESCO blanked the Sox 7-0 behind Ray DeVauls left arm. DeVaul tossed seven and struck out five
to earn the complete game victory. Ryan "Pudden" Paden and JP Frey each slammed two run homers to lead the offense. Gmae 4 action continues tonight at
Harrington ended their season on a loud note defeating TESCO 10-7 and knocking TESCO into the forth spot in the playoff bracket. Tom Connell slammed
three RBI to pace the Laundrymen attack, and teammate John Pichette chipped in a pair of RBIs. Sam Riley tossed six and change for the win and struck out an
even half dozen. Ryan Padden led TESCO on both sides of the field tossing a complete game, and slamming a three run homer. 2011 League Champions
Harrington ends the 2013 season in fifth place with a 5-15 mark.
Harrington erupted for 16 runs on eight hits Tuesday to defeat Hunter's Inn 16-4 at Ainsworth. Mike Lockhart cleared the fence twice for the Laundrymen and
ended the day with five RBIs. Tom Connell and Ricky Moore also took part in the feast with a trio of RBIs each.Ryan Kaverman earned the complete game
victory tossing six and striking out seven. Doug Gerould slammed a triple and a double for Hunters.
The Red Sox smeared TESCO 10-0 Monday evening behind Alex Margraf's three run missle to left field. Teammate Bobby Roach also recorded two doubles
and plated a pair for the Sox attack. Andrew Quiggle, Matt Wilwohl and Paul Vojtek combined to baffle the TESCO line-up and scatter six hits, with starter
Quiggle earning the victory.
The Rambler 9 pushed ahead in the standings with a 5-1 victory over TESCO Sunday evening. The Nine scored a trio in the first inning highlighted by TJ
Mitchell's RBI double. Mitchell added a second RBI double in the fourth. Jeremy Cressley earned the win tossing three and striking out four.
The Red Sox scored three runs in the sixth inning to down Braendel's Bulls 4-1 Sunday at Ainsworth. With the score tied at a run each Tom Kocur slammed a
two run double to open the door for the Sox. Stevel Ramsdel earned the win tossing five innings of one run ball and handed the ball to Zack Brandt for the
save, tossing the final two scoreless frames. Justin Scarpetti paced the counter attack with three hits.
Braendel scored four runs in the first inning and held on to top TESCO 4-2 Saturday at Ainsworth. Justin Scarpetti plated a pair of Bulls with a double to
center. Braendel starter Ian Beezub overcame line drives off his hand and knee, and worked out of several jams to gut past the TESCO attack in a complete
In the second contest Harrington topped Barendel's 5-1 behind Bryan Colish's bat. Colish plated three Laundrymen on the day including a key two run single
in the Harrington two run fifth frame. Tom Connell earned the win and was relieved by Nick Cianci - the two combined for a five hit one run gem.
Alex Margraf continued swinging a scorching bat Friday leading the Red Sox past the Rambler Nine 6-1 on the strength of three safties and two RBIs. Tyler
Geer earned the win tossing four innings and allowing a single tally, and was relieved by Matt Wilwohl who tossed three scoreless innings to close the door.

Alex Margraf slammed three hits and drove in a pair of runners to lead the Red Sox straight into the top spot in the GBL Standings Wednesday by edginf
TESCO 3-2 at Ainsworth. With one out, the contest tied 2-2, and a runner on base in the seventh Margraf stroked a walk off double. Zack Brandt started for the
Sox and threw five solid frames before handing the ball to Paul Vojtek who tossed the final two scoreless innings to notch the victory. Vojtek also poked a run
scoring double to help his own cause. TESCO's Brian King led the counter attack with two RBI's.
The Rambler 9 defeated Hunter's Inn Saturday 13-3 to clinch the final playoff spot. Three teams - the Red Sox, TESCO and Braendel's Bulls, will fight for the
top regular season spot in the final six days of the regular season and this weekend's contests will determine the final placements going into the Post Season.

TESCO held off the Harrington Laundrymen 7-4 Sunday at Ainsworth behind Lee Rohan's two hit, three RBI performance at the dish. Brian King and Greg
Radwan each chipped in a pair of safties and Radwan's consevative approach on the basepath's turned teammate Matt Laporte's bases loaded poke off the left
field fence in the fifth frame into a 395 foot single. Two TESCO runners scored. Matt Palisin earned the win throwing five and a third while striking out four.
Brian Colish had two hits, including a two bagger, to lead the Launrdymen counter attack.
The Rambler Nine plated six runs in the forth frame to defeat Braendel's Bulls Sunday Evening at Ainsworth 6-2. The Bulls notched two runs in the second on
a sac fly and a very wild pitch off starter Jeremy Cressley, but the Rambler starter settled in and shut the door through the fifth frame, before giving the ball to
Tyler DeCrapio for the final two. T.J. Mitchell fired the game winner with a bases loaded whoop whoop whoooo to right field. With the win the Nine solidify
thier hold on the final playoff spot and the Bulls vacate the top spot for the first time all season.
The rain wiped out all but one game Saturday, but the Red Sox and Harrington put on quite the show. Steve Ramsdell threw a five inning no hitter striking out
five Laundrymen and was two walks away from perfection, leading the Sox to a 1-0 victory. Andy Feikls plated the contest's lone run with a forth inning
single scoring teammate Mark Winkler from second base. The rain returned and spoiled the final two innings, but the Sox walked away with the win.
Ther Red Sox defeated Harrington Thursday at Ainsworth 7-3 behind Tommy Kocur's two run blast to highlight the Sox' five run fifth frame. Tyler Geer tossed
five strong for the victory and struck out seven Laundrymen. Matt Wilwohl also plated a pair in the big fifth frame with a single. Andy Feikls paced the
counter attack with a two run double in the Harrington fifth, but the Sox pitching stopped the scoring for the final two frames.
Hunter's Inn defeated the Rambler 9 Friday, but my Saturday newspaper was left in the Saturday morning rain so the box score turned into a combination of
the Peanuts Cartoon and an advertizement for a car dealership. I'll get a summary asap.

Unfortunatley I have been swamped and haven't had a change to update for a couple weeks, but there is some clearing in my schedule and I should be able to

TESCO and Hunter's battled the scorching heat Wednesday evening at Ainsworth and TESCO emerged sweaty and victorious with a 5-0 mark over Hunter's
Inn. J.P. Frey slammed four RBIs including a two run homer in the third and a two run single in the forth. Ray DeVaul climbed the bump and flipped a 5 hit
gem, striking out four Hunters en route to the complete game shutout win. With the victory TESCO moves a half game behind Braendel's Bulls for the top spot
in the standings.
On Tuesday Braendel's Bulls clinched a playoff spot on the strength of a 6-2 victory over Harrington Laundry at Ainsworth. Matt Tobin swung the heavy
lumber plating a pair of runs with a double off the wall in the two run third frame. Chris Norris and Tony Tupek chipped in a pair of safties each for the
winners, and Ian Beezub earned the victory with four innings of work in the blazing sun. The Bulls remain entrenched in the top spot in the standings with a

July 1st, 2013 - A few games scattered between the rain!
The rain cancelled both the Friday evening game and the first contest on Saturday, but three games managed to start and finish between the raindrops this
weekend. Eric Brandt tossed a complete game two hit shutout to lead the Red Sox past the Rambler 9 Sunday 1-0. Andy Feikls led the Sox third off with a
walk, advanced to second on a sac bunt, third on a throwing miscue and Bobby Roach plated him with a sac fly. Matt Heslop got stuck with the tough loss
despite allowing a single hit in his complete game gem.
TESCO scored a run on a catcher's interference call in the bottom of the seventh frame to defeat Harrington 3-2. Ray DeVaul took control on the mound for
TESCO flipping a complete game ten strikeout performance and Lee Rohan had the TESCO attack's lone RBI. Ryan Kaverman pitched six strong for the
Laundrymen, taking the loss, and Keith Stain plated a run to pace the counter-attack.
Hunters Inn picked up its 3rd win Saturday with a 5-4 victory over Harrington. Mitch Upperman led the way with six strong innings on the hill striking out
seven and allowing two earned runs, while also helping his cause at the plate with two safties including a solo homerun to left center. Doug Gerould and Scott
Frisina each added a pair of hits and a pair of RBIs. Jordan Shuck Closed the seventh out to earn the save in Hunter's full team effort win.

Bobby Roach launched a two run Homer in the first and a run scoring double in the fifth to lead the Red Sox past the Rambler 9 Sunday at Ainsworth with a
final score of 4-1. Tyler Geer tossed five strong for the win, striking out eight Ramblers and scattering a trio of safties. RJ Niedzwiecki drove home the lone
Rambler 9 in the fifth.
TESCO edged Harrington Sunday 6-4 behind Kyle Harpster's two run homer to right in the top of the seventh. Dave Gnacinski tossed five strong innings and
gave to ball to Greg Radwan who earned the victory in relief. Josh Allego and Jesus Ramos each drove in runs for Harrington.
Hunter's Inn continued thier winning streak Saturday besting Harrington Laundry 3-2 at Ainsworth. Mark Fuchs climbed the hill for Hunters and tossed six
and a third innings and struck out seven Laundrymen, before giving the ball to Doug Gerould for the final two outs. Mark Pettinato slammed a two run single
in the three run second frame to pace the Hunter attack. John Pichette and Eli Flynn each plated a run for the Laundrymen.
Braendel's Bulls edged TESCO 6-5 Saturday behind Justin Scarpetti's three RBI performance which was highlighted by a two run blast to right in the second
inning. Travis Butcher earned the victory in relief tossing six frames and recording eleven Ks. Matt Palisin absorbed the loss for TESCO tossing all seven and
striking out six.
On Friday Night Harrington edged Braendel 3-2 behind Colin Feikle's two run single in the fifth inning. The Nicks, Grow and Cianci, combined to scatter five
hits over seven innings with Nick Cianci getting the win and Nick Grow holding on for the final two frames for the save. Ian Beezub took the loss for
Braendel, despite tossing a complete game and scattering three hits. Bezzub fanned seven Laundrymen.

Hunters Inn fought their way into the win column Wednesday with a 4-3 victory over the Red Sox at Ainsworth. Mitch Upperman and Doug Gerould shared
the pitching duties allowing 2 earned runs. Doug Gerould led the charge at the plate as well slamming 3 hits including the game winner. With the game tied in
the seventh, Hunters standing on every base and two outs, Doug Gerould hit a high chopper to short and Tony Jenco beat the force throw at second, allowing
Scott Frisina to score the game winning run.
June 17th, 2013 - Big Weekend for Braendel!
The rain held off long enough for Brandel's Bulls to emerge from the weekend with two wins to solidify thier grasp on first place in the GBL Standings. On
Saturday Billy Colt knocked three safties to lead the Bulls past the Ramblers 3-1. Matt Tobin earned the victory tossing 6 2/3rds innings and fanning 8
Ramblers, and also chipped in a RBI to support his cause.
On Sunday the Bulls watched TESCO jump out to a five run lead in the first frame with two runs scoring on a bases loaded throwing error and Greg Radwan
plating a pair on a single up the middle. From that point forward Ian Beezub and Travis Butcher silenced the TESCO attack and started to chip away at the
lead. Down one run with two outs in the seventh Brian Esperson knocked a single to right to tie the game and in the eigth Chris Norris knocked the go ahead
run in with a single to right and Ford Eisenman knocked a two run single for additional insurance. Butcher earned the win workign three innings in relief and
The Red Sox edged Hunter's Inn Saturday 3-2 at Ainsworth behind Alex Margraf's two out two run two bagger with two runs in the seventh to walk off with
the win. Tyler Geer earned the victory fanning 9 batters in four innings in relief. Matt Fuchs received teh hard luck loss, despite tossing a complete game and
striking out five Red Sox.

June 10th - Lots of Weekend Results!
In the first game of the Sunday Triple Dip, Braendel's Bulls stampeded the Hunters 11-0 behind Bill Herman's three hit day. Travis Butcher earned the win in
the lobsided victory tossing three scorless innings in relief. Pat Brennan knocked in a pair of RBIs for the Bulls who end the day atop the standings at 5-1.
The Red Sox edged TESCO in the second contest 5-4 behind Bobby Roach's three RBI day at the plate. Roach also plated the go-ahead rn in the sixth with a
sharp single to left field scoring a pair. Tyler Geer started for the Sox and tossed five innings and struck out six, before Andrew Quiggle earned the victory in
two innings of scoreless relief. Lee Rohan led the TESCO counter attack with a pair of runs batted in.
In the nightcap the Rambler 9 edged Harrington 1-0 in a pitcher's showdown. Matt Heslop tossed a complete game four hit shutout and fanned six
Laundrymen. The only score came in the fifth frame when Connor Connell ground out with the bases loaded to push the game's sole run across the plate. Nick
Cianci saddled the tough loss for Harrington
TESCO defeated the Rambler 9 in the second game Saturday 7-4 behind Ray DeVaul's Left Arm. DeVaul tossed six frames and struck out four, leaving the game
after allowing a single run. The Rambler 9 mounted a rally in the seventh highlighted by Connor Connell's three hit effort, but Dave Gnacinski cooled the
flames in relief, getting the final two outs. JP Frey slammed a home run to pace the TESCO charge.
Ian Beezub tossed nine innings of four hit baseball to lead Braendel's Bulls over the Red Sox Saturday at Ainsworth. Beezub fanned fourteen Sox and Derek
Brady stroked a single up the middle in the ninth to score Justin Scarpitti for the walk off. Alex Margraf accounted for the sole Red Sox talley, reaching base on
a single and working his way around the dishes, ultimately scoring on a fielder's choice. Zak Brandt tossed six and allowed a single run in the fifth frame for
the Sox, and Paul Vojtek saddled the loss working the final two innings.

Justin Scarpitti knocked three safties including a dish clearing double in the third inning to pace Braendel's Bulls 9-4 past Harrington Tuesday Evening at
Ainsworth. Matt Tobin compiled six whiffs in three and two thirds for the win and tossed the ball the Travis Butcher for the final three frames. Butcher
fanned five in his three and a third innings of work. Josh Ponsoll led the Laundrymen's counter attack with a solo homer and an inning of scoreless relief
work on the mound. The Bulls end the day at 3-1, while Harrington falls to 0-2. No games are scheduled tonight and action returns Thursday with Hunter's
Inn hosting the Red Sox at Ainsworth.

Meeting Hunter's Inn for the second time in three days, TESCO duplicated their totals and defeated Hunter's 12-1 in the lone Monday showdown. Lee Rohan
watched his first hit of the season slam into Roosevelt School, and Rohan ended the day with four RBI. The Harpster siblings accounted for an additional five
RBIs with Kyle collecting three safties. Matt Palisin authored a complete game eight strikeout work for his first win of the season.
In a game making a strong case for bringing instant replay to Glenwood, TESCO edged Braendel's Bulls 2-1 in the final game of the weekend. Billy Colt got the
bulls on the board with a RBI single in the forth, but TESCO answered in the fifth with JP Frey doubling home Kyle Harpster and Brian King plating Frey with a
single to center. Greg Radwan tossed five frames for the win and handed the ball to Dave Gancinski for two scoreless frames and the save. Brian Esperson
saddled the loss despite five stong innings of work.
Alex Margraf slammed a two run homer in the forth inning to lead the Red Sox past Harrington Sunday at Ainsworth and even the Sox at 1-1 on the new
season. Eric Brandt climbed the hill for five innings and earned the victory while fanning five and allowing no runs. The Sox scored the first tally in the first
frame with a bases loaded double play, but the lone run was all that would be needed. Despite strong pitching and defense Harrington falls to 0-1 in their
TESCO opened the season with a 12-0 victory over Hunter's Inn in the Saturday nightcap. Kyle Harpster led the scoring with a trio of RBIs and three hits. Ray
DeVaul and Matt Palisin split the five innings with starter DeVaul basking in almost unheard of run support for the win.
In the first game Saturday Braendel's Bulls defeated the Rambler 9 by a score if 5-1 at Ainsworth. Ian Beezub and Phil Cacchione bottled up the Rambler attack
for a lone run, splitting the duties four and three innings respectively. Justin Scarpetti led the Bull charge with a solo shot in the forth inning to open
Braendel's five run frame. Beezub earned the victory.

Braendel's Bulls defeated the Red Sox 2-0 at Ainsworth Thursday to officially begin the 2013 season. Bull starter Travis Butcher fanned 9 Sox in three in a
third before handing the ball to Matt Tobin who earned the win in the final three and two thirds innings. The clubs traded zeros for five innings until Ryan
Schreiber drove home a run and Derek Brady slammed a round tripper for the game's only tallies. Matt Wilwohl saddled the loss despite fanning five Bulls in
three frames of work.
In Friday's contest The Rambler 9 opened their season with a 1-0 victory over Hunter's Inn at Ainsworth. Tyler DeCrapio singled home the sole runner to
cross home plate in the Rambler forth, and Matt Heslop tossed six innings of shutout baseball to ensure the victory. Heslop fanned five in his three hit, six

Torrential rain and twisters swamped Ainsworth field pushing back the official start of the 2013 season to Thursday night with the Red Sox hosting
Braendel's Bulls at 6:00 Ainsworth.
